If you’re flying out of BUF Airport from Ontario to other cities in the U.S., this parking reference should come in handy.

Parking is relatively uncomplicated at this mid-sized airport in contrast to the various crowded airports in New York City, for instance. The following are some of your Buffalo Airport parking choices:

Parking at the Airport

On-site, the airport offers four categories for parking: Short-Term, Preferred Long-Term, Long-Term A, and Long-Term B parking options. Let’s look at the specifics of these offers.

Covered Short-Term parking (look for the red signs) at BUF, like in many other airports, is the most convenient facility. It’s right there at the garage located just next to the Terminal. At $4 per hour, this solution is best for those on a quick trip to the airport to drop-off or pick up a passenger. At $24 daily maximum, this isn’t the best choice naturally, if you’re leaving for a weeklong trip.

Preferred Long-Term parking (designated by green signs) is one more convenient option at BUF Airport. It’s found not far away from the parking building close to the terminal and at about half the short-term daily rate, it’s more budget-friendly. If you’re going on a 3-5 days trip, this Buffalo Airport parking option may be just right for you.

Long-Term parking A lot (orange signs, daily rate is $11) situated to the east of the Short-Term and Preferred Long-Term facilities while Long-Term parking B lot ($10 maximum rate per day, designated by blue-colored signs) is situated a bit farther across the runway along Holtz Drive. The two economy lots are serviced by frequently-running shuttle vehicles that can take you to and from the terminal in just a few minutes. Discounts for weekly parking are available in both locations: Long-Term parking B has a $50 weekly maximum charge while A has a weekly maximum of $55.

Outside Parking

For those interested in parking solutions outside the airport, a number of remote facilities do provide their services to BUF travelers. A perfect example of these is the FastTrack lot along Genesee Street which offers parking fees equivalent to BUF’s on-site Long-Term parking B. Yet another possible parking alternative is the Airport Valet parking lot also on Genesee Street. The fee here is less expensive than at the airport’s Long-Term lot, and may certainly be suitable if your purpose is to save on parking bills.

Buffalo Airport parking is not really difficult in any way but if you’re driving from any location in Canada that’s hours away from the airport, it’s a great strategy to have a good night rest and be completely ready for the next day’s departure. This is where airport hotel parking might be the perfect alternative. Certain Buffalo hotels in the area provide very good ‘Park, Stay, and Fly’ deals. At Millennium Hotel Buffalo for instance, it’s possible to obtain a room starting at $109 (suitable for up to 4 people) before or following your trip, and have the option to park for at the hotel for up to 15 days.

As you can see, there are quite a few Buffalo Airport parking alternatives for you. Parking here isn’t difficult but it might be a good gameplan to reserve your parking in advance of your planned departure, some lots do get full notably during the holidays.

Daniel Weaver is a freelance writer living in New York City. Here?s a clue. You can?t completely say that you?ve been to New York without visiting any of these New York tourist attractions. No related posts.

By: Dakota Caudilla

You name it, New York’s got it. Let’s see, a trip to New York would naturally take weeks, if not months to complete and if you don’t go to the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, American Museum of Natural History, The Guggenheim and Madame Tussard’s Wax Museum, you’ve not even been to New York even if your plane landed into New York! And there’s really a lot more to see in New York.

Let’s just say that if you’re traveling to New York alone, you need more than just a map of New York to make the most of your New York trip. Knowing where to eat, what to look at and how to get around in New York, in itself, will zap all your energy. Let’s take the Empire State Building in New York as an example. The Empire State Building is worth visiting not only because of its gargantuan stature, but because at night, the Empire State Building lights up magnificently providing viewers with an awe inspiring sight. In the Empire State Building of New York itself, there are drawings and paintings submitted by kids all around the world. From the top of the Empire State Building, you’ll get a grand spectacular view of the Big Apple and the metropolitan area surrounding it. A view of the whole of New York from just riding an escalator? That’s the Empire State Building for you!

And the symbol of the United States of America, the Statue of Liberty. The fact that it’s located conveniently in the New York is not a matter of chance, but since it’s located in New York and you’re in New York, why not take a ride down to the Statue of Liberty to take a look at what the Statue can give you? By going INTO the Statue of Liberty, you’ll get a special view how the Statue of Liberty was created. The engineering is marvelous. It’s amazing how many people DON’T know that the Statue of Liberty was not built in the United States of America. The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to America and it was built in France in 1875 and it was completed in 1884 and the magnificent Statue of Liberty was presented to USA on July 4th 1884. The statue was actually dismantled, shipped and then reassembled in the USA.

A visit to Ellis Island will surely take you back in time because although Ellis Island is thought to be a part of New York, Ellis Island is actually a part of New Jersey. Ellis Island is named after the owner of Ellis Island, Samuel Ellis. There are many historical places, tourist sights, museums and parks for New York sightseers.

The Guggenheim, in the meantime, is a museum located in New York. With its extensive collection of art, it will surely astound you. The magnificent setting and collection in the Madame Tussard’s Museum Wax Museum will not disappoint you either.

Dakota Caudilla, journalist, and website builder Dakota Caudilla lives in Texas.
