America is not just rich in culture and colour, but also a plethora of attractive destinations that are perfect tourist spots for a luxury holiday. Travel to Hawaii to absorb the sun or fly to New York and enjoy the best in accommodation and cuisine. Since the culture of America has diversified so much, you actually get an overview of many cultures while on your visit to America. Pick up Chinese take out or South East Asian curries; you get it all here. Yes, you can even hire a limousine ‘Hollywood style’.

Of course, no luxury holiday in America is complete without a visit to Los Angeles. Dress your finest, feast with the best and hit just about every jackpot in town. This place is the place to spend a crazy night. Lights and music, tourists and regulars – it’s all a colourful backdrop to this magical place. Try your luck, maybe you’ll hit the right bonanza and leave the place a millionaire!

Luxury demands spending, and spending means shopping! Travelling to the US? New York, a real chunk of the American Dream, is then your next shop stop. Designer wear floods the place and offers something for everybody. This is the place of minks and furs and pretty evening gowns and elegant dresses. Never commit the sin of missing out on Tiffany & Co. and 5th Avenue, and don’t forget to make a dash to Bloomingdale’s and Barneys New York.

However, if you travelled to America in search of some magnificence in the sun, head over to Florida. This can be a pretty happening holiday, because you can visit the beaches of the Gulf Coast and Orlando’s Theme Parks. Soak up the sun and indulge yourselves in all the services the many five star hotels offer here - from a masseuse to exotic fruit to chilled champagne, pamper yourself to the most.

If you are travelling in luxury with your family, you have to visit Seattle. You can ski here or take part in some water sports. You can just enjoy the spectacular views of Seattle too, and even that is enough candy for any eye - no matter how myopic.

If you are sleepless in Seattle, make your way to the many clubs and bars in Pioneer Square, the Crocodile Café in Belltown and the Jolly Roger Taproom in Ballard. Go during the day and you can take part in an underground tour and visit the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. Seattle is also a good place for you if the shopping bug is tickling you.

But wherever you go, make sure you indulge in some of the true American luxury – supersized sundaes, huge fries and chicken in buckets. You cannot have an American holiday without these. Say what the dietician might, these are any tourist’s dream come true! Also, Disneyland in California is one of a kind, and definitely not to be missed. You do not want to miss the Niagara Falls or Lake Tahoe and Grand Canyon either!
